We are thrilled to announce Shawn Ginwright, PhD as our featured speaker for the 2023 NWCF Forum. Dr. Ginwright returns to the Forum to share his practical wisdom, experience, and ideas from his latest groundbreaking book: The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves. An expert in working with youth who have experienced inequity, adversity, and trauma, Ginwright contends that healing – both on an individual and collective level – is the most important aspect of social change.
In a time when many of us are feeling isolated and exhausted, Shawn Ginwright’s message – including the concept of radical rest and the inextricable link between self-healing and social justice – is both timely and meaningful.
Dr. Benjamin Danielson, fierce community and child advocate, will join our gathering once again. He’ll lead a panel from the community to share their stories and insights about healing-centered practices that inform their work.
Attendees will come away recharged and equipped with new tools and practical strategies to cultivate healing in their lives and transform their work with children and families.
This unique learning experience is open to all, including: direct service providers, educators, caregivers, researchers, therapists, funders, policy makers, those in the legal and medical professions, and others who work with and care for children.
